About eta

The eta is a national education and training college for sport and fitness qualifications.  eta has campuses in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Stellenbosch with satellites in Bloemfontein and Mafikeng.  In addition there is also a Distance Learning home study option.

The campus learning programmes combine classroom time with vibrant practical learning, this means that students learn through theory in the classroom and with practical activities and practical application in sport and in fitness.  The learning programmes are outcomes based and constructed to lead to occupationally based qualifications which are registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

The eta is registered with the Department of Education as a Private Higher Education institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997, Certificate No. 01HC04 and accredited with THETA, Accreditation number 613/P/000007/2004.
