The eta George campus is surrounded by a remarkable blend of rivers and forest area at the foot of the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains. The campus has a beautiful mountain view and is close enough to go for outdoor practical learning and provides students the opportunity to re-energise themselves with the fresh mountain air.
The campus has two class rooms, a meeting room, Internet facilities and save parking for all. Part of the practical component will take place at Virgin Active across the road, where students have the opportunity to associate themselves with the fitness industry.
On a typical day at the eta George campus, students spend time in the class room; do their practical training in the gym, or on the sport field where they are totally immersed in sport and fitness.
The campus has access to a range of facilities within the area to ensure that the practical learning experience remains the top priority for every student. The eta george campus are involved in most of the sports events in the Garden Route. We also focus on coaching clinics in schools.

eta George News
eta George Campus
eta from a student prospective
After living with my parents for 9 years and being home schooled, it became very apparent to me that going out on my own was overdue and unavoidable. With a bit of research, I made my decision to relocate to George. A visit to the town 3 months before leaving the nest was more than enough to convince me.
So it happened that I phoned Barbara at eta George... and I was hooked. A journey unfolded that brought a whole new dimension to my life. During the first weeks of the course I was so unsure about my decision, that I considered quitting! I then realized to quit is not the answer. What a privilege to have been able to reach the end of last year and realise it was all a million times more than worthwhile! I felt part of the team in all of the activities and did types of sports I previously hated and never could do. Ok, I still can't do it well, but my attitude changed.
When I initially enrolled at eta we had to write a letter indicating what we wanted to achieve. My letter stated that I would like to complete the diploma in fitness: Exercise specialist, specialising in Bodybuilding. Something unexpected happened when I decided to do a Yoga course. It was after a Pilates class, and finally yet another Yoga class, that I decided to rather specialise in yoga and pilates.
Recently an opportunity to instruct Pilates opened new doors. I love the core exercises! Yoga is still closer to my heart though. It’s just amazing to see and experience the benefits Yoga has to offer - relaxation, focus, awareness, balance – all the benefits we are craving for in our rushed and hectic lives.
I wish people will learn to stop placing unhealthy limitations on themselves. I am grateful for being taken out of my comfort zone. With lifestyle coaching and special populations as main focus for this year, I feel encouraged to venture the fitness industry.
